I LOVE Women (playlist)

Pinterest (2026) by @allthingsisi

For the last day of Pride Month, I must confess that I love women. This is a pinch different than my usual posts but bear with me, I'm in a transitional phase.

But truly, what's there not to like? There's thee Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Megan Thee Stallion, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, etc. From girly pop groups like the Spice Girls to softer voices like Minnie Riperton, we have so many icons that treasure and uplift us every time they're given the opportunity.

This article (and playlist) is dedicated to those women--the women that can stand beside other women without putting them down, understand the struggles of feminity but maintain the strength and courage to embrace it anyway, and the women that understand that we're pretty damn cool being ourselves. Here are some songs from my new playlist. Give this playlist a quick listen, though. The link is on my Instagram @myiawill. Listen and tell me what you think! Send me some recommendations, too.

     6. Tomboy by Princess Nokia

I've loved this song since I learned of it years ago. Princess Nokia is so unfiltered and unapologetically herself. It's hard to dislike her as an artist. She speaks for all women with every release, and I'm obsessed!

   5. Gypsy Woman by Crystal Waters

I've heard this song so many times in my life but I recently discovered that it's based on a true story. The artist stumbled upon a woman who was homeless yet decided to look her absolute best despite her circumstances. She wrote this song, specifically for and about her and how people should acknowledge that housed or not, we're all people. "She's just like you and me but she's homeless" is a blunt statement/verse but its intention is for listeners to sympathize and understand. Any one of us could end up in an unfortunate situation, and it's unjust that because she's unhoused she is treated less than human, less than woman. Here's to hoping that both women are safe, clothed, fed, and well-kept.

     4. BIG GIRLS by Scarlip ft. FendiDa Rappa, etc

I love the challenge with this song so much. I discovered this artist through Instagram and each one of her songs is such vibes. She acknowledges women's beauty regardless of modern day propaganda, and the featured artists' verses are so catchy. When you get a chance, stream this song!

     3. Ex's & Oh's by Elle King

I've loved this song since it was released, and it's incredibly timeless. Let's pour one out for the women that can't get rid of their exes and the ones living brand new lives without them.

     2. Flowers by Miley Cyrus

I'm learning to embrace and love singlehood and complete solitude, and this song is the blood in my veins. I love it, and I love this era of Miley Cyrus. She doesn't really have any bad eras, though. What's your opinion on Miley Cyrus' musical range? I honestly think she's that girl. Debate with me in the comments.

     1. C**T by Flyana Boss

I have so many songs saved from this girl group. They're so iconic. I love to see young, nerdy Black women prevailing in the music industry. In this song, they redefine a common slur directed towards independent women, especially in leadership positions. Sometimes that's all it takes, and I loooooove the repurposing. If buying my own stuff and having strong boundaries makes me a c**t, so be it. If you need a quick pick-me-up or an alternative to your coffee or stinky matcha, I can guarantee this song will do that for you.
